The plump, powder-blue fruits, have a unique raspberry flavor overtone. It has a very distinctive flavor! They are excellent for fresh eating and culinary uses. ‘Razz’ Blueberries are a robust plant, growing 4-to 6’ tall. The plants are reliably and produce good yields of medium to large berries that ripen in midseason. This blueberry variety is ideal for home gardeners, specialty markets and U-pick operations that enjoy something unique. Grow in loose, acid soil in full sun. These bushes make an attractive ornamental, featuring striking orange-red fall. Like its siblings, Vaccinium Blueray and Bluecrop, Razz is the progeny of a cross between two USDA selections from early in the history of its blueberry breeding program. ‘Razz’ is not recommended for commercial growers.
