Description
Garlic ‘White California’ bulbs have a spicy-hot flavor and papery skins. Up to 10-20 cloves per bulb.
Garlic, Plant in Fall or early Spring, best time to plant is Fall, as the cloves need a period of cold weather to develop into bulbs. If you have heavy clay it’s better to plant in Spring since heavy clay tends to hold water (especially over Winter) which can cause the Garlic cloves to rot. Grow Garlic in a warm, sunny spot in fertile well drained soil that does not get too wet in Winter, keep the area weed free, water when dry and harvest in the Summer after the leaves turn yellow. Leave the Garlic to dry out for a few days by laying it out in full sun.
