Description
Lilium ‘After Eight’ has large freckled dark pink flowers with a white edge.
Lilies are Perennials and are native to the Northern Hemisphere. They are among the oldest cultivated plants and there are around eighty different Lilium species. Oriental Lilies have in general a strong fragrance with big flowers on tall 40 inch stems. Some varieties do require staking. The blooming period is mid- to late Summer after the Asiatic Lilies have finished blooming.
Lilies require good drainage and preferable organic material in the soil. Lilies are never completely dormant. The bulbs in the ground can be left undisturbed for many years.
