Ismene ‘Sulphur Queen’ has fragrant sulphur yellow flowers with curved petals and strap-shaped dark green leaves.
Ismene are perennial bulbs native to South America, common name 'Peruvian Daffodil'. The fragrant flowers are exotic looking daffodil-like trumpet shaped, mostly 3 to 5 buds per stem. Leaves are long and strappy, foliage emerges first before flowers.
Plant in full sun or partial shade in moist well-drained soil. Great for border, pots and containers. Winter hardy in zones 8-10.
